I first started taking photos with a Panasonic Lumix point and shoot on a family trip to Alaska

my parents got me my first dslr when I turned 16, a Nikon d90. I spent endless time learning every feature of the camera

what's with the logo? why "spatz?"
well, for "spatz", the obvious answer is "that's my name!" there's a bit more to it, though. in matthew 10:29-31, Jesus says "are not two sparrows sold for a penny? and not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. but even the hairs of your head are all numbered. fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows." furthermore, the timeless song His eye is on the sparrow includes the line, "His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me." the name spatz comes from the german word for sparrow. this name and this logo serve as this reminder of the worth we have in Christ and the intentionality with which God watches over us. It also serves as a reminder to me to try to use this same care and detail in my work that God so perfectly models to us.
